Henry "Hank" George Boman, 86, of Lake Park, died Monday, February 28, 2011 at Sunnyside Care Center in Lake Park.
Henry "Hank" George Boman was born to Oscar and Thelma (Egar) Boman on October 8, 1924 in Adams, N.D. When Hank was a young boy, the family moved to rural Lake Park. He graduated from Lake Park High School.
Hank was a farmer and all-around repairman, known as "Mr. Fix-it." He worked at Vigen Hardware, doing various jobs. He was also self-employed as a television and radio repairman. He enjoyed building miniature scale model steam engines and carousels.
Hank was a lifetime active member with the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion, where he displayed his models in miniature land. He helped on various projects such as the carousel and the Pabst engine. In 1990 he was featured on their annual belt buckle.
Hank was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners, the Lake Park Historical Society, and an active member of Eksjo Lutheran Church.
Preceding Hank in death were his parents, Oscar in 1970, and Thelma in 1990.
Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, in Eksjo Lutheran Church, Lake Park, with visitation for one hour preceding services. Interment will be in the Eksjo Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Lake Park.
