HERO collecting medical supplies for Haiti
The Health Recycling Equipment Organization is collecting life-saving medical equipment and supplies that will be shipped to Haiti to help aid medical missions for disaster relief.
"Our goal is to collect and ship medical supplies that will be needed in the weeks ahead as hospitals are rebuilt. We can help Haitian hospitals regain their independence by assisting to stock and replenish their shelves with vital medical supplies," stated Joyce Newton, Executive Director of HERO.
In November, HERO sent nine pallets of health care supplies weighing over 6,000 pounds, an operating room table, lights, and an anesthesia machine to the 'Comite de Beinfaisance de Pignon' medical center in the remote mountain village of Pignon, Haiti. We are grateful to know the supplies that were sent are aiding in the current relief efforts.
HERO collects and redistributes donated healthcare materials to benefit individuals locally, nationally and internationally. Financial donations or durable health care equipment and supplies can be sent or delivered to 2204 5th Ave. N. Ste. C, Moorhead, MN 56560.
