This award is given each year to the business that has supported HERO in a multitude of ways throughout the past year.

Sanford was chosen because they physically helped HERO move from Moorhead to Fargo, for donating medical equipment and supplies on a weekly basis and for sponsoring the HERO bash each year.

HERO would not be what it is today if it weren't for the support of Sanford Health.

Before it was called Sanford, Meritcare was a partner with HERO since 1996 and has continued to grow with us.

After the change from Meritcare to Sanford, they continued their partnership with HERO.

In 2010, Sanford has donated 24,178 pounds of lifesaving medical supplies and has donated 12,077 pounds so far this year.

HERO recycles by redistribution and the supplies are either used by our local community members or go to global medical mission groups.

Sanford donates about sixty percent of our inventory which consists of: personal hygiene items, incontinence supplies, wound care, surgical supplies, and linens.

HERO is recognized as a nonprofit organization with local, regional and global outreach.

Significantly keeping lifesaving medical materials from area landfills, HERO is eco-friendly organization that advocates for the environment by practicing recycling through redistribution.

HERO is located at 5012 53rd Street South, Fargo, ND. For more information, to donate medical supplies, or to make a contribution, visit www.fmhero.org or call (701) 212-1921.
