Hilary Mueller, 72, of Detroit Lakes, died Friday, September 11, 2009 at her home, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Hilary was born Aug. 22, 1937 in London, England. She was raised and educated in Egham, Surrey, England. She came to the United States in 1956 and has lived in Pelican Rapids, Callaway and Detroit Lakes. For many years, she was a lab technician for AMPI in Pelican Rapids.
Hilary married Patrick Mueller on June 22, 2005 in Watertown, S.D. She enjoyed bingo and was a bingo caller at the Detroit Lakes Eagles and Elks clubs for many years. Hilary also enjoyed going to antique stores, cooking, feeding people and collecting antique glassware, British chocolate and Irish cheese.
Surviving Hilary are her husband, Patrick Mueller of Detroit Lakes; a daughter, Donna (Joseph) Bihner of Elburn, Ill.; a son, Thomas (Lynn) Ohman of Frazee; 10 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Dora and Val, both in England and Eileen in St, Louis, Mo.; as well as a brother, Len, in England.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14 at the David Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Detroit Lakes, with Monsignor Timothy McGee officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Detroit Lakes.
