Holmes Theatre has full concert schedule this month
The Historic Holmes Theatre is proud to present a celebration of spring through music, with three upcoming BTD Community Connections concerts, Lakes Area Community Concert Band, Next Generation/Open Mic Night, and Heart O' Lakes Harmony.
The Lakes Area Community Concert Band will present its spring concert this Sunday, April 18, at 4 p.m.
The Next Generation/Open Mic Night will be Thursday, April 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Holmes Ballroom, and Heart O' Lakes Harmony will perform on Saturday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m.
The Lakes Area Community Concert Band is in its fourth season. This concert band is made up of talented area musicians. They perform a variety of jazz, big band, classic marches, patriotic tunes and other concert favorites, sure to put all who attend into the spring mood. Sunday's concert is a free will donation event.
The Holmes Cabaret Series features a relaxing night to unwind after a long day at work. Cocktails, appetizers and exceptional music make this a casual night for regional musicians to share their music with local fans. Next Generation/Open Mic Night gives new and undiscovered talent a chance to perform. Admission is $5 for adults, free for students.
Heart O'Lakes Harmony is comprised of members of the former Detroit Lakes Skipper Chorus and the Fergus Falls Lakes Country Chorus. This group of male voices will entertain you with a mixture of old style barbershop harmony, religious songs, patriotic tunes and just plain "good music." Tickets for the concert are $7.50 per person.
Tickets for all upcoming concerts can be purchased by visiting the Historic Holmes Theatre Box Office at 806 Summit Ave., online at www.dlccc.org, or by calling 218-844-SHOW.
