DETROIT LAKES - Baby Toes Daycare, owned by Shandy Vondal-Mehl, participated in a Hop-A-Thon for the Muscular Dystrophy Association last week.
The children talked to friends and family and raised money to help children with Muscular Dystrophy. They worked out of coloring books, activity books and watched a 3-minute movie every day.
They learned how special everyone is, that everybody's different, nobody's perfect and everybody is special. They also learned all about Muscular Dystropy.
On Friday, April 4, at 11 a.m. the children hopped for two minutes for the children that have this disease and cannot use their muscles to hop. They raised just over $1,0000 for the MDA.
