The Frazee High School District will be forming its first-ever Hornet Athletic Hall of Fame, with its first class to be inducted in the fall of 2013.

The search for candidates is now underway, with the Frazee Hornet Athletic Hall of Fame selection committee taking nominations.

The committee will be receiving applications up until June 1, and applications can be found on the school’s website located at www.frazee.k12.mn.us           

At the website, click “Activities” and then proceed to the button on the left which says “Hornet Hall of Fame.” Forms are also available in the FHS office.

The criteria for selecting candidates include four categories: athlete, coach, contributor (administrators, athletic administrators, volunteers, boosters and fans) and team/organization (former teams, as well as community organizers).

The nominee, if an alumnus/alumna, must have graduated at least 10 years ago.

Criteria which needs to be followed for each category includes:

Athlete: Any person who distinguished himself/herself in the field of athletics while a student at Frazee High School.

Criteria considerations should include All-Conference recognition, All-State recognition, All-American recognition, Pro selection, outstanding college accomplishments, and being a college scholarship recipient or collegiate sports participant.

Other considerations may be taken into account, but not take the place of the above criteria.

Coach: Any coach with at least five years of service at Frazee High School and 15 years of coaching experience.

The nominee must be inactive for at least two years to be eligible for consideration. Criteria consideration should be based on accomplishments which merit statewide recognition, as well as significant contributions to the athletic programs at Frazee High School.

Contributor: An individual who has made outstanding contributions to the interscholastic athletic programs at Frazee High School other than coaching and playing.

Team/organization: Individual teams and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the interscholastic athletic programs at Frazee High School may be nominated and considered as an inductee.
