Horse-drawn buggy driver injured in pickup crash
The driver of a horse-drawn buggy was critically injured when a pickup rear-ended it today near Winger, the State Patrol reported.
Both vehicles were northbound on Highway 59 when the accident occurred where it crosses with County Road 205 about 10:12 a.m., the patrol reported.
Noah J. Yoder, 29, Winger, suffered a severe head injury in the crash, the State Patrol reported. He was initially taken to First Care in Fosston, Minn.
The patrol report said two children in the buggy, Josie Yoder, 5, and Peter Yoder, 3, both of Winger, were also treated for minor injuries at First Care, however, no further description of their injuries was given.
The driver of the pickup, Lynn Aasen, 72, Winger, had no apparent injuries, the report said.
