Horticulturist offers pruning workshop
A pruning workshop is April 18 from 6–8:30 p.m. in Central Lakes College Ag and Energy Center Field Office, Staples.
The second in a series of workshops on orchard management in cold climates, the program is suitable for all levels of experience.
The instructor is Horticulturist Thaddeus McCamant with Central Lakes College. He will be speaking about the basic techniques of pruning and training of apple and plum trees will be discussed.
Participants will be then given the opportunity to prune live trees at the CLC Ag and Energy Center demonstration orchard.
Cost is $15 per person or $20 per farm/orchard.
