Hunter found dead near Akeley on Tuesday died of medical condition
PARK RAPIDS. - A medical condition caused the death of a 45-year-old man found next to his deer stand near Akeley on Tuesday, Hubbard County Sheriff Gary Mills said.
Mills said an initial autopsy report indicates Aaron Yund, of Columbia Heights, Minn., died from acute coronary thrombus caused by heart disease.
Yund was found about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday by his brother, Timothy Yund, Andover, Minn., about eight miles north of Akeley, according to Mills.
Aaron Yund had been hunting with four other males.
Mills said an initial investigation found no indications of foul play or signs that Yund was the victim of a hunting accident.
The autopsy was done by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office.
