Indians' defense posts another shutout
DULUTH -- Mahnomen's defense was every bit as good as advertised.
The Indians entered the Minnesota Class 1A state football tournament having posted seven shutouts and given up an average of 3.5 points per game, with the first-string unit not allowing a single point during the regular season.
After a 26-0 victory over Barnum in the state quarterfinals at Public Schools Stadium, those numbers improved.
