InPulse to give concert, youth vocal camp
One of the country's most exciting a cappella vocal bands, InPulse, will appear in concert at the Historic Holmes Theatre on Thursday, June 17, at 7:30 p.m.
In the fall of 2003, InPulse launched one of the most celebrated debuts in a cappella history, breaking away from traditional conventions to define the term "Vocal Band."
Using only their mouths and microphones, InPulse creates a stage performance that is second to none. Their performance showcases the beauty and versatility of the human voice, drawing from virtually every genre of music-from pop to rock, county to hip-hop, and jazz to R&B.
InPulse has worked with nearly 5,000 students in the past year with its educational outreach clinic to teach and promote the art of vocal music through hands-on experience. They will be hosting a vocal music camp at the Holmes Theatre starting on June 15, and the students from that camp will be showcased in the concert on June 17.
Tickets prices for the June 17 concert are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Ages five and under are free. Tickets can be purchased by calling 218-844-SHOW, visiting the Historic Holmes Theatre Box Office at 806 Summit Ave., or online at www.dlccc.org.
