Former Fargo resident Jerome F. Riley, Jr., 44, Largo, Fla., died Monday, November 1, 2010 at his home in Largo.
A mass of Christian burial is set for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Detroit Lakes, with Monsignor Timothy McGee officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
Interment will be in St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Cemetery near Pelican Lake.
Jerome F. Riley Jr. was born to Jerome F. and Mary (Volk) Riley on September 24, 1966 in Fargo. He was raised and educated in Fargo, and was a 1984 graduate of Shanley High School and a 1994 graduate of North Dakota State University, with a degree in humanities. He spent his childhood summers at the Riley family cabin on Lake Melissa near Detroit Lakes.
All his life, Jerome loved to be by the water. He moved to Minneapolis and pursued a career in sales. In recent years he moved to the Tampa, Fla., area, where he resided until the time of his death.
Survivors include his parents, Mary and Jerome F. Riley Sr. of Detroit Lakes; three brothers, D. Patrick (Judy) of Grenville, S.D., Kevin (Katie) of Shoreview, Minn., and Michael (Laurie) of Minneapolis; a sister, Cheryl Riley (Steve Johnk) of Glyndon, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews.
His brother Dennis preceded him in death.
