Joyride equals prison

A rip around town with a stolen vehicle landed a Ponsford man in prison.

Travis Jerome Norcross, 31, of Ponsford was sentenced to 51 months in prison for his felony conviction of aiding an offender and being an accomplice after the fact.

According to the complaint, Norcross was arrested December 22, 2013 after he was seen ripping around Ponsford, driving in and out of ditches.

Norcross told arresting officers that the vehicle he was driving was his mothers, but they discovered it had actually been reported stolen from a Fargo parking lot earlier that month.

In addition to prison time, Norcross will also pay $19,472 in restitution.
