Judith Crowley Bergh, 60, of Dilworth, Minn., died of cancer on Thursday, March 24, 2011, in Triumph Hospital, Fargo.
Judy, daughter of Melvin and Theresa (Dovre) Bergh, was born on August 18, 1950 in Detroit Lakes. Judy graduated college with degrees in English literature, paralegal administration, and Spanish and worked as a paralegal, secondary teacher, and operator for the disabled.
In March 1980, Judy was united in marriage with Stephen P. Crowley. Their daughter, Katherine, born May 7, 1981, was the most cherished blessing in Judy's life, along with the rest of her family.
Judy loved nature, the outdoors, and all animals and wildlife. She gave loving homes to many needy animals throughout her life. She enjoyed reading and listening to music. Judy loved the Boundary Waters Canoe Area and the North Shore in Minnesota, and would travel there whenever she could.
Surviving Judy are her mother, Theresa (Dovre) Bergh of Detroit Lakes; brother and sister-in-law, Jon and Gerilinda (MacDonald) Bergh of Jacksonville, Fla.; and her daughter, Katherine Crowley of Duluth, Minn.
Preceding her in death was her father, Melvin Bergh of Detroit Lakes.
Judy will be cremated and her ashes scattered in the Minnesota Arrowhead that she loved so well.
A memorial service is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 9 at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes.
