Former Detroit Lakes and Fargo resident Judith Mae (Gorski) Butler, 69, died Saturday, August 22, 2009 of pneumonia, during a visit to Eagle River, Alaska.

Surviving Judith are her daughter, Deborah (Gorski) Sailler of Salem, Ore.; sons James Gorski of Olympia, Wash., David Gorski of Eagle River, Alaska, John Gorski of Dyer, Ind., and Bill Butler of Fargo; sister Margaret Nield of Santa Monica, Calif.; and brother Robert Davidson of Denver Col.; as well as nine grandchildren.

Catholic mass will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, in St. Mary of the Lakes Church near Pelican Lake, outside Detroit Lakes. A graveside gathering will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Fargo. No reception is planned.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Judy's name to St. Mary of the Lakes, Detroit Lakes, or First Church of the Nazarene, Yuma, Ariz.
