Jury finds man guilty, prison time
DETROIT LAKES - Mark Allen Sihler, 46, no address available, was found guilty by a Becker County jury of felony violation of the predatory offender registration law.
He was sentenced to two years in prison by District Judge Peter Irvine, who granted credit for jail time served from April 17. He was fined $50 plus court fees, to be taken from his prison earnings.
He was convicted of fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct in 2001, and ordered to register as a predatory offender until 2020, according to court records.
On March 3, the sheriff's department was notified that he was no longer living at the address he had registered on May 9, 2006. He left that residence in February and never notified authorities.
He was also convicted of failing to register in Clay County in 2005, according to court records.
