Karen M. Molacek, 51, of White Earth, died Friday, August 22, 2014 at Essentia Health in Fargo.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3 at St. Columba Episcopal Church in White Earth, with Reverend Jackie Bernacci and Pastor Loren Waldo officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the church from 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2 until the time of Wednesday's services.
Karen Marie Molacek was born to Howard Molacek and Vera Critt on May 6, 1963 in Fargo. She was raised and educated in Callaway and graduated from Rapids High School in 1981. She lived in a number of communities, spending a number of years near Ogema.
Karen enjoyed time with her family and friends, going to the casino, fishing, caring for animals, playing cards, gardening and watching her "soaps." She had a contagious smile, and enjoyed teasing and being teased.
Survivors include three daughters, Amanda Shelker of Midland, Texas, Brandi Waldo of Lake Park, and Cassie (Tony) Courtright, address unknown; a grandson, Jameson; brothers and sisters, Irwin Johnson of Los Angeles, Calif., Donna (Matthew) Dakota of White Earth, Linda Engel, address unknown, Irva Johnson, address unknown, Bernice Widme of Detroit Lakes, Beverly Dakota of White Earth, Debra (Brad) Weaver of White Earth, Joyce (Gordy) Bellanger of White Earth, Jean (Stacey Weaver) Dakota of White Earth and Donald (Lori) Dakota of Bagley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Allen and Irwin; and one sister, Barbara Dakota.
