Keith A. Giese, 60, of Detroit Lakes, died Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Essentia Health-St. Mary's in Detroit Lakes.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Detroit Lakes.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, at David-Donehower Funeral Home and at the church one hour prior to services on Friday.
Keith A. Giese was born to Kenneth and Katherine (Craig) Giese on November 26, 1952 in Racine, Wis. He was raised and educated in Racine. As a young man, he moved to northern Michigan.
He served with the U. S. Army, 1970-1976. Following his discharge, he lived and worked in a number of communities before moving to Detroit Lakes in 2010.
Keith was united in marriage to Glenda Wentz October 4, 2008 in Jamestown, N.D. She died January 11, 2012.
Keith enjoyed time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren, camping, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include three sons and four daughters, Noah (Pam), Derek and Jarad (Katie), all in Colorado, Jerilyn (Jim) in Wisconsin, Rachel (Denny) in Georgia, Christie (Shad) in North Dakota and Hope (Kris) in Minnesota; 10 grandchildren; and a brother, Billie (Jackie) in Michigan.
In addition to his wife, Glenda, he was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Bobby, Kenny and Richard.
