Kerri Ann Kooyer Drees, 47, of Thompson, N.D., went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, August 5, 2013 in Altru Hospital.

Kerri A. Kooyer, the daughter of James and Carol (Anton) Kooyer, was born on June 12, 1966 in Minneapolis. She grew up and attended school in Detroit Lakes. Kerri attended the National School of Broadcasting in Sacramento, Calif. She married Steve Drees on September 14, 1996 in Grand Forks.

Kerri and her family lived in Fargo, N.D., San Ramon, Calif., Hibbing, Minn., and Thompson, N.D., where she touched many lives and made many friends.

Kerri was employed as a radio personality for Your QFM in Grand Forks at the time of her death. She was an active member of Thrive Community Church.

Surviving Kerri are her husband Steve, of Thompson; daughters, Tanisha (Steve) Krznarich of Buxton, N.D., and Savanna Drees of Thompson; sisters, Kathi (George) Carden of Crystal, Minn., Kristi (Jay) Nelson of Fargo and Kelli (Jeff) Atchison of Lake Park; brother, Ken (Brian) Kooyer of Crystal; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 at Hope Evangelical Covenant Church, 1601 17th Ave. South, Grand Forks, N.D.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. in the church and will continue until the funeral service begins. Kerri loved crosses… please feel free to bring one and place it at her casket in her memory.

Interment will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks.
