Kids' day at the museum
Museums aren't just for quiet adults - they're a place for kids as well, says Amy Degerstrom, executive director of the Becker County Museum.
The museum is hosting Kids Day every Thursday in August. Activities start at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., followed by free time for kids to explore the museum.
"The hope is that families can come and participate in their history," Degerstrom said. It's good for the kids to learn in an interactive, hands-on way, she added.
