Kristie (Gathman) Throgmorton passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in Gilbert, Ariz. She was a resident of Mesa, Ariz., with her spouse Thomas Duddy.
She was the daughter of Frank and Virginia Gathman, Detroit Lakes, and mother of two wonderful children, Heidi Throgmorton Gonzalez and Eric Throgmorton, with two awesome grandsons, Tony and Ethan.
She also leaves behind four siblings, along with their spouses and families, including sister Tammy (Gathman) DuChene, and brothers Michael, Timothy and Patrick Gathman.
She also treasured Tom's children, Brian, Patrick, Daniel, Michael and Amanda.
In 1982, Kristie was married to James Throgmorton, and remained so until his death in 1989. They lived most of those years in Germany, serving our military.
Kristie began college shortly afterwards, at North Dakota State University, and completed her college work at St. Cloud State University with a degree in accounting. She worked for many years as a medical transcriptionist, using her wonderful mind and nimble fingers. She dearly loved using those fingers to play the piano, and was gifted at playing by ear.
Kristie has many special friends in the Phoenix area who were touched by her generosity and positive influence. She had keen instincts to discern how others felt and the ability to skillfully listen, care, advise, or assist everyone she contacted. She will be missed by all.
