In a time when the term "more government" conjurs up unpleasant thoughts, I want to say thanks. After many years in the works, the Cormorant Watershed District has completed a "clean water" project on Lake Bejou. As a result of their passion and tenacity, this project has come to fruition.
Kudos to the entire team - the Watershed District, Olson Construction, and Houston Engineering. A ditch and a swamp have been made into a beautiful stream bed and pond. The runoff that used to put thousands of gallons of muddy water into our beautiful lake will now run clean. In the big picture of cleaning up Minnesota's waters, this may be a small thing; but for our little lake it is huge. Thanks!
