Kylee McArthur

April 13, 2009-May 23, 2009

Kylee Rayne McArthur, five-week-old daughter of Ruby Hanks and Brandon McArthur of Mahnomen died Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the Mahnomen Health Center Hospital.

Kylee was born April 13, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Detroit Lakes. She enjoyed spending time with her family and had a strong bond with her siblings. She loved the attention of all those who encountered her. She was very special.

Surviving Kylee are her mother and father, Ruby Hanks and Brandon McArthur of Mahnomen; maternal grandmother, Wanda Lego of Waubun; paternal grandmother, Tammy McArthur of Mahnomen; paternal grandfather, Randy Scott of Naytahwaush; great grandmother Glendora Scott of Naytahwaush; sisters Brandee Jo McArthur, Chantel Hanks and Lara Hanks, all from Mahnomen, Sara Peltier of Belcourt, N.D., and Mia and Madison McArthur, both of Cloquet, Minn.; brothers, Landon McArthur of Waubun, Cody Antell of Cloquet, and Thomas Jr. and Dallas Hanks, both of Mahnomen; four aunts and numerous cousins.

Preceding Kylee in death were one brother, Brandon McArthur Jr.; maternal grandfather Calvin (Tim) Lego; maternal great grandparents, Nicholas (Joe) and Elnora Belland and Hilda Emery; and paternal great grandparents, Bernard and Delphine McArthur and Alvin Scott.

Traditional Native American services were held Wednesday, May 27 at the Naytahwaush Community Center in Naytahwaush, led by Mike Dahl. Pallbearers were Jovan Motschenbacher and Geno Kegg Sr. Honorary bearers were the many people whose lives Kylee touched during the short time she was in this world. Interment was in the Traditional Burial Grounds at Naytahwaush.
