The three sharp shooters combined for 55 points in the Knights' win over the Lady Hornets.

"They shot extremely well, going 9-19 from the arc," said Frazee head coach Tim Swenson. "We just got beat by a good team that shot very well tonight."

The Lady Hornets took the early lead, led by their senior sharp shooter Abby Berven, who scored 14 of her game high 24 in the first half.

Berven hit four from beyond the arc in the first half.

The Knights used their full court pressure defense and the shooting of Peterson to take a 36-28 lead into the locker room. Peterson had 11 of her team high 21 in the first half.

"We came out shooting, as Abby really got hot early, but the Knights sort of wore us down as the half went on," Swenson added.

In the second half, Nelson and Torgerson combined to make five from deep and 21 of the 37 second half points, as the Knights steadily pulled away to a comfortable 18-point margin of victory.

"They were firing it up from anywhere, and they just seemed to knock everything down, give them credit as they are a very good team," the Frazee coach said.

Berven led the Lady Hornets with her 24 points, to go along with eight rebounds, while junior Jaclyn Mickelson had her third game in a row in double figures, with 12 points.

Senior Chelsea Nordquist had 10 rebounds to go along with seven assists.

Peterson had 21, while Torgerson and Nelson went for 19 and 15, respectively.

Turnovers were the differenc,e as the Knights only turned it over 13 times, while the Lady Hornets had 23 turnovers.

"The difference was turnovers and their shooting," Swenson said. "I thought we played very well and worked extremely hard. The effort was great, and we know we can play with the best in the HOL."

The Lady Hornets drop to 3-1 in the HOL, while the Knights improve to 4-0, in the HOL and overall.

Frazee will travel to Pelican Rapids Friday night to take on the Vikings in a HOL tilt, and then they host Park Rapids on Monday, Dec. 22, in a non-conference battle before the break.
