Lake Park-Audubon's Tingelstad transferring to East Grand Forks
She's not going far, but one of the area's top athletes is transferring.
Ashley Tingelstad, who won Minnesota Class 1A state titles in the 100, 200 and 400 for Lake Park-Audubon at this year's state track meet, is transferring to East Grand Forks.
"It's definitely going to be weird, but I think it's going to be fun," said Tingelstad, who is going to be a senior. "...I didn't think I would transfer, but I decided a little while after track ended."
Tingelstad, who is also a standout basketball player and has been playing with a summer league hoops team in EGF, lived with her aunt while attending LP-A. Her mother, Lisa Sparks, recently bought a house in East Grand Forks.
