Laker boys hockey wins, then loses

Email

Two games in 24 hours proved to be one game too many for the Detroit Lakes boys' hockey team, as they went 1-1 through the first two days of the St. Cloud Tournament.

After scoring a solid 7-3 win over St. Cloud Apollo in the Tuesday night opener, the Lakers fell to Sauk Rapids-Rice by the score of 5-3 on Wednesday.

Though they earned a victory Tuesday, head coach Chris Denardo wasn't altogether happy with his team's performance in either of the two games.
