Laker girls hockey outmatched by Bemidji

Email News Alerts

The Detroit Lakes girls' hockey team got a pretty chilly reception when it traveled to Bemidji Tuesday night, as the Lumberjacks handed the visiting team a 10-0 shutout.

The Lakers, whose season record fell to 3-9-0 with the loss, were never able to mount much of an offense against Bemidji.

"Bemidji has a pretty good team, they're pretty fast," said DL head coach Dan Maloney. "Our players worked hard in that game, we just got outmatched at times."
