MINNEAPOLIS - A first-half comeback for the Detroit Lakes girls' basketball ironically became the Lakers' unraveling in the second half of the Class 3A state quarterfinals against No. 2 Totino-Grace Wednesday inside Williams Arena.

After expending a large amount of energy chipping away at a 10-point deficit in the first half, the Lakers were run down by the Eagles in the second, who outscored DL by a 30-15 margin in that time span to key a 51-38 victory.
