An upset wasn't in the cards for the first round of the Section 8-2A playoffs as the top-seeded Detroit Lakes baseball team snuffed out any hope for the No. 8 Bagley early with a 10-1 victory.

"We wanted to jump on them early and get them down so not to give them any hope," said DL senior shortstop Reed Oistad, the team's leading hitter with a batting average just over the .500 mark.
