Lakers put Homecoming thumping on Staples-Motley

The Homecoming rout took approximately 12 seconds to start for the Detroit Lakes football team, as they steamrolled Staples-Motley 48-6 Friday at Mollberg Field.


Senior running back Jarett Nosal broke through a rather large opening around left end on the game’s first offensive play and sprinted virtually untouched for a 55-yard touchdown.

By the time the first quarter ended, DL had run 13 plays to build a 28-0 lead.
