Larry was born to William and Bertha (Habek) Manning on January 23, 1945. He was raised in rural Frazee, graduating from high school with the class of 1963. Larry married Elizabeth "Betty" Jutz on May 14, 1966, at the Assumption Catholic Church in Callaway.
Over the years, Larry held a variety of jobs. He worked in construction, was a small business owner, worked for a farm equipment dealer and was a part-time farmer. In 2004, Larry found what he really enjoyed doing, retail sales. He joined L&M Fleet Supply in Detroit Lakes, working in the farm department from 2004-10. Larry then cut back on his work schedule, joining the staff at Mark's Fleet Supply, in Perham, for approximately one year. At that time, his health forced him into retirement.
Surviving Larry are his wife, Betty; two children, Jerry (Alice) Manning of Perham and Mark Manning of Pelican Rapids; two grandchildren, Thomas and Pauline Manning; one brother, Eugene Manning of Callaway; two sisters, Gladys Poeppel of Little Falls and Lorraine Windels of Detroit Lakes; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Larry in death are his parents; two sisters and one brother.
