Larson wins education award for literacy
Stephen Larson, Regional Administrator of the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development received the 2008 Adult Basic Education (ABE) partner award for providing significant assistance in serving learners in the Northwest Minnesota area.
The Literacy Minnesota awards were presented at the Adult Basic Education Summer Institute conference August 7, 2008 at St. John's University in Collegeville, MN.
This prestigious award is given to individuals whose contribution is unique, innovative and creative, whose work exhibits high standards of quality and, combined with quantity of the work, makes an impact of the literacy effort in a community or in Minnesota.
The award also seeks those whose dedication is shown by the length of involvement or by a strong concentration of service, and who is currently active or has provided service within the past year.
