If you are a Master Gardener Volunteer, Educator, Lawn Care Industry Professional, in Golf Course Turf Maintenance, or Landscape and/or Grounds Caretaker, and would like the opportunity to refresh and expand your lawn care knowlede please consider attending this training session.

The first half of the session will be devoted to a brief update on current topics in home lawn care and weed control. Topics will include some of what's new in U of MN?research regarding lawn grasses and lawn care. The second half of the session will include two concurrent hands-on learning workshops: 1) practicing turf grass and weedy grass ID, and 2) a brief review and identification session focused on common broadleaf weeds of northwestern Minnesota. Instructors for the training session are Bob Mugaas, Extension Educator - Horticulture and Randy Nelson, Extension Educator - Horticulture & Agriculture.

This training session will be held on Thursday, Oct. 9, 12:30-5:45 p.m. in Detroit Lakes at Holmes Theatre, Detroit Lakes Community and Cultural Center, 806 Summit Ave., Detroit Lakes, MN 56501. Class fee:?$25. Walk-in registration accepted at $30 based on available space. Pre-registration deadlline is Wednesday, Oct. 1, Participation is limited, so sign up early.
