LCRC banquet Friday night

Email

Once again the community and surrounding area has generously supported our upcoming 22nd Annual Lakes Crisis & Resource Center's Banquet. This year's theme, "All in the Family," was selected to remind us how healthy families are critical to the well -- being of our community.

Lakes Crisis & Resource Center continues to provide critical and essential services to Becker County. In 2011, we served over 700 individuals that were victims of domestic violence, sexual assault or general crime. Our Parenting Time Center, Positive Connections, provided over 2,000 supervised visitations or exchanges for parents in need of these services for their children. Our Children's Services Program provided support groups in the Becker County schools to 108 children and a total of 400 children were reached with our presentations. Mary's Place, the first emergency-safe shelter for women and children opened Aug. 3, 2011, with 37 residents occupying the new shelter able to stay up to three months until Dec. 31, 2011. Since Jan. 1, 2012, we have had 29 residents.

Lakes Crisis & Resource Center staff feel blessed to have such a supportive community with amazing volunteers and generous financial supporters. Without you, the agency would not open its doors 365 days a year.

Our upcoming 22nd annual banquet will once again support the services offered by Lakes Crisis & Resource Center. Some of the Live Auction items include an orthodontic package valued up to $8,000, a Cabo San Lucas Trip, an "All in the Family" logo necklace, a Cannon Falls Getaway, We Fest VIP Tickets and camping, custom artwork by Pat Shannon, along with many other valuable items. Please join us on Friday, March 9, at the Speak Easy beginning at 5:30. Tickets are still available, please call 847-8572. Thanks again. -- Jan Logan,

Executive Director Lakes Crisis & Resource Center
