According to an article by AARP, some of the benefits of walking are weight management, controlling your blood pressure, boosting "good" cholesterol, reducing your risk of breast cancer, stroke, heart attack and type 2 diabetes, avoiding your need for gallstone surgery, protecting against hip fracture -- and this is just a partial list!
