Let’s Go Fishing trips being scheduled; volunteers needed
Though the snow and ice of winter still linger on some area lakes, the Detroit Lakes Area Chapter of Let’s Go Fishing has already begun booking trips for the 2014 summer season.
Area senior care facilities, youth and veteran’s organizations, are encouraged to begin pre-scheduling their trips, as the increasing demand may limit the dates available.
The online calendar located at the organization’s website, www.lgfws.com (will show what dates are still available for booking).
Send requests for date and time by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The chapter will then respond with a yes or no as to whether the date and time is confirmed.
If you do not have e-mail, you can call our trip scheduler Kris Tovson at 218-849-3914.
Last summer, Let’s Go Fishing’s Detroit Lakes chapter served 943 guests on 125 pontoon fishing and scenic trips, and the group expects to serve its 3,500th guest in June.
Due to increased demand, the need for volunteers to lead excursions this summer is expected to be greater than ever.
