the Local let's go fishing chapter was gifted with the free use of a boat slip and dock lift this summer. The pontoon lift was provided courtesy of Mike Grandbois of Pier Pleasure (at left) and John Drewes of At Ease Dock & Lift, while the Detroit Lakes Holiday Inn, represented by manager Jeff Jasperson, donated the boat slip. The gift was gratefully accepted by Tim Miller, vice president of the Detroit Lakes LGF chapter (far right).

Since its inception in 2008, the Detroit Lakes chapter of Let's Go Fishing has made the lives of hundreds of lakes area residents just a little brighter every summer.

Before the chapter's 2011 boating season officially draws to a close at the end of September, members hope to have offered free fishing and pontoon excursions to approximately 800 area seniors, challenged adults, veterans and youth.
