Letter: Abortions are up in Minnesota
In Minnesota, more disturbing than the 5 percent increase in abortions in 2006 vs. 2005 was our 16 percent increase in teen abortions (MCCL statistics).
Quarterly campaign financial statements show that two Democratic candidates in particular, Hillary Clinton and U.S. Senate hopeful Al Franken, have accepted campaign donations from abortion providers. Statements by Mrs. Clinton saying her goal is to reduce the number of abortions "rings hollow" while she continues to finance her campaign with abortion providers' money.
The following Minnesota federal legislators are pro-life and speak for the unborn, who can't speak for themselves: Norm Coleman, James Oberstar, Michele Bachmann, John Kline, and James Ramstad. --John Holley, Ironton, Minn.
