Letter: Clean air standards will save consumers money
Your recent editorial on the Clean Car Standards Act left out that this legislation will save all consumers money -- vehicle manufacturers will have to sell more fuel efficient vehicles, and which will save all of us money over the life of the vehicle.
With the price of gasoline increasing, coming closer to $4, I'm all in favor of putting more cars on the road that will go further on a gallon of gas, and also emit less pollution.
The Clean Car Standards Act allows us to do both -- spend less on transportation, leave cleaner air for our children, and be part of solving global warming. --Beverly Horacek, Detroit Lakes
