Letter: Family, faith are the answers to America's problems
These days our country is "up-in-arms" over the shootings that have recently occurred in Connecticut and elsewhere in too many places. We are panicked and rightly so. Where are we safe? Not in churches, schools, movie theaters or homes.
The safest place should be in our mother's womb. January 22, 2013 marks the 40th anniversary of the Supreme Court decision to allow people to legally kill the unborn in the womb. The use of the abortionist tools and now chemical abortions obtained through the internet, not guns, have killed over 53 million babies.
September 11, 2001 marked the senseless killing of thousands of people on our soil. No guns there, only jet planes and evil intentions.
Banning guns and arming police officers in our schools will not solve the underlying problem. Only honest citizens will be controlled by anti-gun laws. The appearance of armed officers in our schools will only traumatize our children and teachers.
Only by upholding the family and changing hearts and minds by the Lord Jesus Christ will this problem be addressed.
