Letter: LP-A supports Pelican Rapids school in its time of grief
I wanted to write a letter and let people know how proud I am to be a part of this community. We all heard the terrible news about the Pelican Rapids band bus being in an accident, and we were horrified to hear of the death of a beautiful young girl as well as the members who were in the hospital. We offered our prayers for them and for their families. We read the article in the DL papers and saw the sign placed there by the students of LP-A. When we went to Minneapolis on Saturday, we saw the sign, and it really touched my heart that someone from our school knew the proper thing to do, and placed a sign on the lawn of the school saying:
"We are Sorry...We Care...Your friends...LPA School."
These are our kids! I am so proud to be from LP-A, from Minnesota, and a citizen of the United States of America! -- Ellie Jacobs, Lake Park
