Letter: Stop the wolf hunt: It’s just plain wrong for Minnesota

I rarely write letters to the editor, but I’m compelled to speak up on this issue because of the probable consequences of remaining silent.

The last few years we’ve had a wolf hunt in Minnesota.

Wolves are not eaten for food. The hunt isn’t necessary to manage their population. In fact, wolves were recently on the endangered species list.

There is no sound reason for a wolf hunt here or anywhere. So, I write to our decision-makers to stop the hunt.

Please stop the wolf hunt. It’s just plain wrong. — Jack Fay, rural Detroit Lakes
