Letters - 'Give to the Max' to the Marshmallow Foundation
Last year, more than 47,000 individual donors logged on to GiveMN.org and gave more than $13 million to nearly 4,000 Minnesota charities and non-profits in 24 hours during Give to the Max Day.
The Marshmallow Foundation, local animal rescue and shelter, has been a participant in past years, but this fundraising event was not as highly publicized as we plan this year.
With our services extending across seven cities, we rely solely on the donations we receive from events like these. Thursday, Nov. 15 is the fourth annual Give to the Max Day.
The Marshmallow Foundation local animal rescue and shelter, together with GiveMN.org -- giving website for non-profits and schools in Minnesota -- is working to create stronger non-profit communities for Detroit Lakes, Frazee, Waubun, Callaway, Lake Park, Audubon, and Mahnomen.
Give throughout the day, as the "Golden Ticket" donor drawings will be done every hour, when The Marshmallow Foundation has the chance to win a $1,000 prize grant, and grand prizes of $10,000 will be awarded to one non-profit and one public school at the end of Give to the Max Day.
By giving online with GiveMN, Detroit Lakes, Frazee, Waubun, Callaway, Lake Park, Audubon, and Mahnomen residents have the opportunity to make a huge difference for non-profits in our area. We hope you will help support our communities by logging on to www.GiveMN.org on Nov. 15 and give to your favorite charity or school.
To find The Marshmallow Foundation, click donate on the top, and when it redirects, either type in Marshmallow Foundation or click on the Animals choice and then scroll to the bottom and select page 39. We are about half way down the page. Be a part of this historical event and join this "Great Minnesota Give Together!"
The Marshmallow Foundation thanks each and every one of you for the donations! Without the support of the communities we serve, we would not be able to promote our mission of "providing programs and services that aid animals and benefit animal/human partnerships."
Again, thank you! -- Cheryl Hubbard, administrative director, The Marshmallow Foundation, Animal Rescue and Shelter, Detroit Lakes
