Lisbon evacuating norheast part of city where Sheyenne enters
LISBON, N.D. - An evacuation is in progress in the northeast part of Lisbon.
About 10 dump trucks are trying to unload clay where Second Street East comes to a dead end on the west side of the Sheyenne River, said Bruce Dougherty, Ransom County public information officer.
He said he didn't yet know the exact cause for the evacuation, which includes Main Street from the North Bridge through Second Avenue and through the 300 block of Valley Street.
The evacuation area is where the Sheyenne comes into the main area of Lisbon, he said.
