'Listening session' on school building project is tonight

Detroit Lakes School District holds its second of two spring listening sessions tonight (Tuesday, April 1) on how to proceed with the proposed building project that failed to pass a vote last November.

Superintendent Doug Froke says the school board and administration want to know what people in the community are thinking about why the proposed $59 million dollar building project, which included a new elementary school and renovations to existing buildings to address space and safety issues, failed to pass muster.

Tonight's meeting will be held at Rossman Elementary School, starting at 6:30 p.m.; a similar session was held Saturday morning.
