Former Cass Lake resident Lois Munnell, 48, of Fargo, died Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo. Lois was born the daughter of Jacob Jr. and Margo (Broker) Munnell on Aug. 2, 1960 in Cass Lake, Minn. She attended school in Walker, and graduated from Frazee High School. She moved to Milwaukee, WI, where she worked in various factories. She married David Ottman, and they had two sons. They later divorced. In 1990, she moved to Fargo, and had lived there since. She enjoyed visiting friends, reading, beadwork, and vacationing in Florida with her special friend Gregory.

Surviving Lois are her sons, Christopher Ottman and Joseph Ottman, both of Milwaukee, Wis., and Thoore Munnell of Fargo; daughters, Nikki Nelson and Lindsey May, both of Fargo; sisters, Leslie (Vance Quiram) Munnell and Lynn Munnell, both of Detroit Lakes; and a brother, Lee Munnell of Iron Wood, Mich. Her parents preceded her in death.

Memorial services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, at the Veteran's Memorial Building in Cass Lake. Honorary casket bearers will be Patrick Finn, Skip Finn, Jerry Finn, Rob Finn, Randy Finn, Don Finn, Mark Broker, Kirby Finn and Christopher Quiram. Interment will be at the Thompson Cemetery in Cass Lake.

Arrangements are being provided by the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.
