Hailing from Tennessee, Lonestar was formed in 1992 and was comprised of Richie McDonald, John Rich, Michael Britt, Dean Sams and Keech Rainwater.

Originally called Texassee, the band members are natives of the Lone Star State and known for merging their country roots with strong melodies and rich vocals.

In 1993, Lonestar played their first concert at Backstage Pass in Nashville. A booking agent was impressed by their performance and the band was out on the road touring soon after. They played nearly 500 shows over the next two years, and, in 1994, signed a recording contract with BNA Records.

Since then, Lonestar has had more than ten (10) #1 country hits including “Tequila Talkin’,” “No News,” “Come Crying To Me,” “Smile,” “Tell Her,” “What About Now,” “My Front Porch Looking In,” “I’m Already There,” and their crossover smash, “Amazed.”

Lonestar has also achieved numerous awards, including the Academy of Country Music’s (ACM) Single and Song of The Year for “Amazed” in 1999, and the Country Music Association’s (CMA) Vocal Group of the Year in 2001.

Lonestar is beginning its third decade of making music and is hard at work on a new, self-produced album.

The band is currently embarking on an anniversary tour with more than 90 dates scheduled in North America alone.

The tour includes stops in New Mexico and Florida following the band’s performance at Shooting Star on Friday.
