Her wonderful gift of creativity and encouragement was given to her children and grandchildren. Her primary job was as homemaker and loving mother.

Lorraine worked for Community Action, a job that enabled her to help those that needed it, especially the elderly. She loved that she could help people in such a needed and meaningful way. Lorraine fell in love again and married her childhood friend, Alvin Boe of Cooperstown. They had a wonderful life of laughter, joy and many travels.

Surviving Lorraine are her loving husband, Alvin Boe of Bemidji; her loving daughters, Candy and Kaia Edland of Bemidji; daughter-in-law Marylou (Matthew-deceased) Edland of Fargo; stepsons Scott (Kathy) Boe of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Thomas (Connie) Boe of Fargo; sisters Corrine (Robert) Patrick of Atascadero, Calif., and Arlys (Tex) Little of Paso Robles, Calif.; sister-in-law Jean Cox of Columbine, Colo.; grandchildren, Sarah Christmann, Elizabeth Condiff, Carl Goughnour, Jacob, Grant, and Emily Edlund, Kristin, Katie and Robbie Boe, Cory and Tim Boe; and four great grandchildren.
