LP-A Day of Caring set for May 1
The United Way of Becker County will join students and staff at Lake Park-Audubon High School to host a “Community Day of Caring” on Wednesday, May 1 in the communities of Lake Park, Audubon, Cormorant and surrounding areas.
Senior citizens and disabled residents living within the LP-A School District are eligible to receive volunteer assistance with such tasks as yard work, flower planting, window washing or similar home care needs.
Volunteers will not be permitted to use power tools, use ladders over six feet tall, or enter private residences.
Project registration forms have been provided to local churches, the Lake Park City Center, Audubon city offices and the Cormorant Store. Those interested may also call the LP-A High School offices at 218-238-5916 to request a “Community Day of Caring Project Registration Form.”
All registration forms must be submitted no later than Tuesday, April 23 in order to facilitate planning.
